Booking a vacation rental for the first time, or trying one of our homes for the first time? We want your stay to feel easy from the moment you arrive. Here are answers to the questions guests ask us most about staying with Royal Vacas, from Kent Island and Ocean City to the Delaware coast and Garden City Beach.
How Does Check-In Work?
Many of our properties, including our Kent Island homes and Ocean City condos, offer self check-in. You’ll receive your arrival details before your stay, so you can let yourself in at your own pace without waiting around for keys. We recommend saving the details on your phone before you travel.
What’s Provided in the Home?
Our homes are set up so you can settle straight in. You’ll find sheets and linens, bath towels, blankets and pillows, along with a kitchen equipped with cookware and the basics for cooking. Most properties also have a washer and dryer, air conditioning and heating, and TVs for evenings in. Each listing shows the full list of amenities, so check yours before you pack.
What Should I Bring?
Beach towels aren’t provided, so be sure to pack your own. Beyond that, bring your swimwear, sunscreen, groceries for your first night and anything you need for your beach days. For a full checklist, take a look at our beach packing guide.
Can I Bring My Dog?
Pets are welcome at our Lighthouse Cottage in Selbyville, Delaware, which has a large back yard. Pets need to be added to your reservation and a pet fee applies. Our other properties are pet-free.
Are There Any House Rules?
We keep things simple so everyone can enjoy their stay:
- All of our properties are non-smoking.
- Please stay within the maximum number of guests shown on each listing.
- Parties aren’t permitted at our Kent Island homes.
- Our Ocean City condos don’t accept senior-week rentals.
Each property’s specific house rules are shared when you book.
Are the Pools Open All Year?
The community pools at our condos are seasonal, typically open from mid-May or Memorial Day weekend through mid-to-late September.
Who Can Book?
The lead guest must be at least 21 years old, and valid ID may be requested. A deposit or full payment is usually required at the time of booking, and the cancellation policy is shown clearly before you confirm. You can read the full details in our terms and conditions.
